I just got the game, and now I'm making my account. I selected the pre-paid payment but it is asking me for the game card code. How do I play the game with the first month free? Or where is the code?

you need to have a credit card or a game card code already, most MMOs don't let you play the first "free" month without paying for a month

It's annoying though because does the game not say first month of gameplay free?

Actually you just need the credit card or game card to activate the account to get the free month you can cancel the account before the free months over and not get charged

But I didn't buy a game card. I did not plan on spending another $30.00 after getting the game, I thought I would just be able to to signup then when my free month is over I could then buy the Gamecar -I don't use credit card-.

EDIT:I go through singup process and select pay with pre-paid card. Then it asks me to type in my game card code. Which I don't have because I thought I have the first month free. Anything else to do?

Yeah it kinda sucks if you have a debit or credit card you can just activate the acct and it wont charge you at all until the free months up or you can just buy a gamecard and it will add time onto your free month

0.0 Of cours they have to make it all complicated for people without credit cards.....
Even when I try to do the guest thing I have to enter in a credit card number so that wont work. Ugh. I guess Ill wait to get more money to buy a game card.

...its a common strategy. packaging free month of subscription along with the product, but needs a kicker (the game card) to activate said free month. this way they're giving you ample time to get hooked ensuring continued subscription in the coming months.

pretty much like dealers giving out freebies. and yeah im talkin bout narcotics. and yeah im done talkin bout narcotics too. =P

i didnt put in a game card code i just went to account management when it asked me to put it in and it said i had a free month, i tried playin and it worked, so im guessing that u dont need one when makin an account.

...well, i dunno about that though... however, you can try downloading over the net that 10day trial, and before that's up you upgrade your account using your CD key, maybe that should kick the free month in. might help. but, it'll be annoying trying to download 3.5gb though... =P
