Getting GMod 9 to work

I just downloaded GMod 9.04 and installed it, it said if it doesn't appear in games list to restart system, it didn't appear and I restarted my computer, twice. It still won't appear in my games list. Please tell me what to do! Thanks in Advance!

Well , you can go to your steam folder , go to steamApps , sourcemods and click on the gmod folder. then open the gameinfo icon , and do you see the file system thingy , find the steamappsid and spot the number next to it... change the number to 240 and save the notepad and restart steam. Sorry it was not clear.. i am just too tired.

Newsflash: CS:S + Hl2 Deathmatch + Hl2 Lost Coast at gamestop for 29.95, maybe you should know facts before you acuse people of things they didn't do.
