I descent idea I suppose. I would have to watch out not to get backlash from the owners of those sites. And Fabian... would I have to get the creators permission before hosting them on my website? I have no water mark yet that gets produced on the images that are uploaded, but if it is demanded by my members I may eventually do it.

yea i think you would need their permission but whats the harm in asking.....just let me know if you wanna do it i know a couple of sites that host anime

Or just email the owner of a site that has a lot of anime downloads (i ****ing forgot the site, but its a damn good one) and ask them to partner with you. Then simply link to their site. Problem solved.

99% of the images posted on that board are not ever posted by it's original creator, and unless there is creator info on the wp itself, won't be able to find who made it(ofcourse, you can always look for the guy's site, if he has one)
The rare wallpapers that are posted there by the person that made it will more often then not take no owner-ship over it. The culture of 4chan is we are all anonymous, and everything there belongs to all of us, and we can use it in any way we want.

What I'd do for the copyright, to make it safe is basicly state that the copyright of the images belong to the original creator and that images can be removed at request, provided that evidence of ownership/creation is provided.


As for watermark, when it comes to wallpapers you can't do a worst thing.
Allow the creators to create thier own watermark to claim ownership, nothing wrong with that. It is their work. But if you simply host the wallpapers, putting a site-watermark on it is the worst thing you could ever do.
