I just replaced my old motherboard with the same exact one but the problem is it worked but then i shut it off then i went to plug in my 7600GT is the PCI Express 16 slot and that didnt work then i took it out and the onboard didnt work so i have a blank screen with or without the 7600GT in what on earth happened to it???? so i put in my old motherboard in the reason why i got a new motherboard is because my PCI express slot when out on this old one. what ever the problem is i think it lies in the BIOS can i somehow reset the bios without a monitor or can i install the drivers for the new motherboard from the old one then switch board i am up for any ideas i am just stumped.

You can easily reset the BIOS by resetting the CMOS, this (usually) is a three pin header on your motherboard with a small plastic cover over two of them.
Consult your manual on resetting the CMOS, but it's basically to move the jumper from the two pins it's covering to cover the pin that it isn't and also the central pin. Leave it there for a few seconds then move it back to the original position. |
