So, I need ot buy a new sound system for PC. A 5.1 to be precise. So got a good 5.1 sound system? Price it's the problem as long as it stays below 450$. Preferable to be able to purchase in canada.

Those are the speakers I'm using. Probably the best I've had, quite cheap too. |

This is what I've got. (although my mobo can support 7.1) Great sound, great bass, the only problem, though, is there is no desktop volume control.

Why do you need 5.1 on your computer? Do you game on it? My monitor looks like a single speaker but it's prolly a 2.0 or 2.1. It works fine for listening to the sounds of people logging onto AOL. My PS3, however is hooked up to a 2 piece set but I'm kind of thinking it's 4.1. Though I can't really find the Sub on it makes me believe it's a 2.0. I don't think they'd make a 4.0 because it wouldn't sound right.

Planning to turn my new room in the new house into a theater-like set powered by a computer. ( I won't put any TV ). So yeah, a 22" LCD without a 5.1sound system while watching a movie SUX. As for me.
