when you use the red crayon, it blocks the other colours of light reflecting from it
if you melt and mix the other colours of crayon together, you'll get black. the colours are subtractive because they don't emit light if you get red, green and blue lights and shine them in the same place, you'll see the same as you would when you shine a white light there. those colours are additive |

Ok you guys are really starting to confuse me and I thought I had it.
Ok, light is wave frequencies between ultra-violet and infra-red. White light is composed of all of the frequecies between ultra-violet and infra-red. Red is the first frequency and so on. Crayons, however, use pigment which is the direct opposite. When you see pigment, your not seeing the color, rather your seeing it block out all other colors. When you mix all pigments, you get black. When mixing most of the colors, you'd get a very dark brown. White pigment is the absence of pigment while white light is all frequencies of light. Now this is how they are interconnected. When you see purple pigment, in red light, it still looks purple because purple is higher on the frequency. If you look at white pigment through red light, it's white while if you look at black pigment, it stays black. However, black pigment is inconcievable without no lighting, in which you couldn't tell if black was changing colors or not. Now, some say pure black is achievable but it's going to be impossible to gather all pigments in the world. Also you'd have to look at the black in white light where it wouldn't even look pure black because of the different frequencies shining. The colors in order of frequency are: Red Orange Yellow Green Blue Indigo Violet or can be remembered as ROY G BIV. and pix, that wouldn't be true white light. A prism would easily show the areas of seperation between the red, blue and green. |

Damn ur right K -rizzle. I sorta Bsed the part about the blakc holes cause i know absolutely nothing about them.
@mr First anem basis Its actually VIBGYOR because the colors go from low wavelenth to high frequency or something like that

It's ROY G BIV - (Red is NOT the lowest wavelength in the light spectrum. )
