Well, if you wanting to find a game similar to WoW in standards like Westernized gaming and leveling, try Lord of The Rings online. Some claim it to be a WoW clone.
Pros- Very immerssive. You will intersect with the actual story without interfering with it, but still have your own role behind the scenes. Not cartoony. The characters and the enviroment are very nice. They are not aways bright and cheerful colors. It makes you feel that your in a world that is about to go into shambles. In game music composition. You are able to play certain instruments in game. I have seen a 4 piece band play "Ironman" and "Welcome to the Jungle" Nice crafting system. Familiar controls. Yes, they have WASD movement in the game. From what my brother has told me, they removed the point and click movememnt. Lifetime subscription option. Till the game is released, you are able to pre-oreder and obtain a lifetime membership for just $200. No more monthly payments, and if you leave and come back to a new expansion you do not have to "double pay" (expansion+monthly fee). Other than that, pre-orders have another option. $9.99/mo payment plan. Adjustable UI. Built-in voice chat. Character cutsomization. You can choose from various facial features to skin, hair and eye color. You also can change the color of your peices of armor with dyes that can be crafted in game. Lower end PC friendly. The requirements allow lower end PCs and laptops users to play. IT DOES NOT REQUIRE SHADER 2.0 OR BETTER TO PLAY. I have seen many player state that they are happy that it can run fairly smooth on integrated graphics. Cons- Party play. There is a lot of party play that goes on in the game. Alot of the story line involves party play. BUt there is still much solo play to be had. PvPM. Player versus Player Monster is a new feature. You get to play as the bad guys only in the PvPM zone, and nowhere else. THe reason they restricted PvPM so much, is cause they do not want to ruin the "lore" of Middle Earth. I cannot think of any other cons ATM. |
