Priests are better healers in 5-mans, but in raids, Paladins are far superior. The problem is that priests do not have any survivability or conservation of mana. Anyway, it seems like priests are starting to fare better with resillience PVP armor (250+) for arena/battlegrounds, so it's not TOO horrible. It'd just be nice to get a buff since the last one was last summer, on Lolwell.

...well, i do hope they (blizzard) give the priest class a break (but dont break it too further!), i know priests/clothies in general are supposed to be squishies but heck they didnt have to make it THAT squishy.

oh and, offtopic, i keep seeing sigs and avatars like yours... where'd you get em? is that a game? i like em sprites...

My signature is from Maplestory, a 2D, free MMORPG. A friend of mine got us together and took a screenshot to make it. As a shadow priest, I'm especially squishy with super threat, and the nerf on Silent Resolve makes it worse. Tried entering Heroic Hillsbrad today after wiping on Black Morass, and the mobs there hit for 3000, a smack. Hate to fight four or six of them at the same time while trying to stay alive.

...well at least youve got fade (well, do you?), you can reduce aggro... even if only one of em is busying up on you it still becomes quite a handful just trying to keep your health up...

...btw, how big is maplestory's client? you know what, just give me the main site, i'll look. thanks. =P

thanks... but, didnt know they were so keen on using IE7... my browser's firefox, and my IE is 5 something so... i guess i'll just look somewhere else that hosts the client...

Heh, Priests are the best 5-man healer, because they are the most versatile.

1. Fortitude/Divine Spirit
2. Good Burst Heals
3. Prayer of Healing/Mending
4. Dispel
5. Mind Soothe
6. Mind Vision (though this isn't that important, really..)
7. Shackle Undead (Woot

)

Problem with them in raids, is that none of it really stacks well.

With Paladins, you have all blessings, high surviveability, and good heals.

Druids, you have HoTs like crazy.

Pallys and druids though, for a 5-man, have issues... ie: Tranquility is just laughable compared to prayer of healing.. Pallies only can put out 1 blessing, unless you have more than one...

...plus there's also the fact that in 5mans priest can survive at least a hit or two before they need to top-up... in raids, if a clothie gets hit they usually go limp. lol.
