Im a little new....this may be in the wrong forum...
I just bought WoW, and the day after i got it i found my parents had switched from my nice high-speed internet to this stupid satellite crap thats the speed of dial-up ....updates in WoW take ages to install...i haven't got the chance to play yet, but i need to know how much lag i will have.....my computer plays WoW full spec. I also need to know how often Blizzard releases large updates. Thanks! |

updates come out quite often, i think around 2weeks or so. WoW can be played on dial-up, but technically you'd probly lag anytime there's like 10 or so players near your area, especially if they're continually spamming skills. the speed with which they spam would choke your connection. i dunno if disconnections happen often though.

...just stay away from PvP servers. go on a low population server, avoid parties, heck, avoid other players altogether and you'll do fine. you can also turn off the chat maybe (or just minimize it if chat's too active). i'd say on a good day, maybe around 7/10, but on a crowded day, somewhere around 3/10.
i'd still recommend at least DSL or broadband connections.

dont listen to that queer. PVE srvers are the gayest *** servers. Only join pvp and join grps. Pve servers ruin the game. Join the highest populatio nserver and have fun. MMO's r meant to be played with people. Not meant to hide in a corner by urself and do notin
