I always got the parts pulled off badly, and I would put stickers which would fall off in weeks lol. But the last time I assembled a gundam model was... at least 5 years ago.

I used fingernail clippers to remove them and a box knife razor or a exacto knife to smooth out any excees.

Also, I used to go around some of the edges with a razor or exacto knife to remove the little "mold leaks" or to make them fits snug a flush.

WTF? LOL, I would get one and try to make a vinyl/hard plastic costume from it.
HMMM, $3000? Sounds like I have a goal for next years "fun" money. I would get killed by my wife if I bought one......... I got to evaluate the risks.
