Obviously, non of you live in japan, speak fluent japanese or have read very far in the mangas of both animes.
As I said earlier, in japan bleach and naruto is not rated differently. Their both regarded as older-kid/teenager shounen shows. Secondly, naruto contains just as many sexual referances as bleach. In regards to matsumotos breast size, see tsunade. In regards to ecchi, see one of the newer naruto chapters were konohamaru transforms into two young girls that are cuddling eachother, and afterwards turn into two boys doing the same(also note "perverted hermit" spying on women bading). In regards to violence, naruto has a good amount of blood in total, but what is implied is also quite disturbing. For example orochimaru's labratory-work on dead people, garaas violent childhood, some of the oh-so-excentric akatsuki members and their weird habits. Now, pull into accounts some of the serious themes, like childhood abuse, vengance, family anhiliation for the sake of provess, you get some serious shit. In regards to swearing: If any of you really knew japanese, you would know that they have a very limited vocabulary in regards to foul words, and so the swearing you see in fan-subs are usually the result of the translaters artistic lisence, where he chooses strong words to convey a point. The words you hear most frequently in japanese animes which they translate into swear-words are simply unpolite forms of the word "you", and the occasional "yarou" or "baka yarou". "Yarou" often translated professionally as "bastard" and "baka yarou"(baka being idiot as most people know) would then mean "idiot bastard", but is sometimes in fan-subs even taken to the level of "you ****ing bastard", "you ****ing moron", "asshole" etc. So in terms of adult language, there really isn't much difference between the two either.

Anyway, back on topic. Naruto, in the US, has been heavily "kiddified," Bleach hasn't. Just like many many years ago when Pokemon was all the rage, Naruto has developed the same fad, becaus eof its extensive advertising to kids. Bcause Bleach, in General, is about death, some parents wouldn't want their kids to watch it (because they don't understand it's just for entertainment), which is why Bleach isn't extensivly marketed. Think about it, the age group, in the US, that would most likely watch Bleach are teens, the style of Teen that would watch anime are ussually online; thus, that is where you would probably see the most advertising. Not on TV, not even really in magazines. But to me, Bleach says "maturer audience" simply because I find the plot a bit deeper (not counting the 50 episodes of filler) and portrays more matureish content, more often. In note to the Elfin Lied post: I loved that anime, It made me sad for days, untill I found the ecchi "Inukami!" to cheer me up. (G I love breast jokes)

In the current episodes, he's battleing the darkness of the hollow within him, knowing that the next time he get out, his friends lives could be in great danger. Not to mention, the new opening (which rocks) is featuring the growing gap between Ichigo and Orehime, and her ultimate lonelieness as she sees him suffer.

They don't put bleach on cartoon network because of the fact that its not suitable for kids under 13+. I mean would you want your 4year old son watching blood squirted everywhere? Sexual References? Swearing? And such and such.
