ACTUALLY.. FFXI is only 3.00 a month. however they add an extra 1.00 a month for each expansion you use so if you use 3 expansions its 6.00 a month. then if you want to play tetra master its another 1.00 a month. also you only start out with 1 free character slot if you want to have more than 1 character for each additional character slot its another 1.00 a month.

alright, the private server would just suck and ruin the game, next off has the price for game dropped ( i mean the monthly payments )

Thats a good question I thought it was 12.99 a month with a 1.00 extra per character after the first, but when I signed up I was told that it was only 5.99 a month with a .39 cent extra per character...I'm kinda wierded out because i'm not sure what it is anymore.

Yeah! it's not for free, you have buy the cd key and pay it monthly. I bought my key at gamersloot.net if you want you can give it a try too. =)

I think the price depends on the current currency exchange rate.

Last month it cost me £8 for 2 charachters, this month it cost me £11. Go figure lol.

ok this game is not even worth 5 to play it is so slow paced and it jsut gets so tedious the background is the only nice looking thing everything else looks like crap but hey have fun playing your crappy games

FINAL FANTASY IS ONLY A SLOW PACED GAME WHEN LEVELING WHEN YOU GET PAST LEVEL 13, THEN, YOU SHOULD HAVE A LINKSHELL BY THEN AND CAN PARTY, GETTING A PARTY WILL MAKE IT HELL OF ALOT FASTER AND MORE FUN.

the whole enviroment is amazing, the realism in the time to travel to each place is amazing, the general system off fighting BOSSES in all ff games is brought to this game, quests, side quests.
