It's actually the other way around. Ash got killed and the mech got blown to bits.

Ash, you need to let me PVP you so that I can test combos on an actual human, or at least experience PVP that isn't a laggy slideshow.

Could someone give me a little tutorial on how to work my skills? I don't know if you get to choose them or what.

check the screenshot posted by Ash above. See those hotkeys at the bottom right of the screenie? (next to your mana pool), all you need to do is while you are attacking, press one of those buttons to execute your skill. When you look at the skill description, you can also execute them by combining directional keys with the skill key, which is the "z" button. Having passives called Cancels will let you cast those skills immediately after your normal attacks, chaining a what could be a deadly combo.

Any tips on getting S ranks on Female Launchers? I find it alot more difficult to get KING for the GSD quest on my launcher than any other class.

use repeater and crossbows when you pin down enemys on the ground

it gives me 75% style or so sometimes....

Also do your regular combo like this

Jack Spike + Upper Shot + Normal attack on the enemy on the ground...

Maybe slide!
