If anyone is interested, I am working on a little program for DnF. It's nothing special at all, but it'll probably help out lazy people and/or people who use Mozilla Firefox as their browser (since I don't think the "Start Game" functions correctly in Firefox).
The program itself is basically a mini-browser which only goes to the DnF login page. You can login to the site (in the program) and launch the game, all from the program. This way you can just put it in the DnF folder, make a shortcut and put it on the desktop like any usual game. The site works right while in the program because the program is technically using IE (through no additional effort of your own). There will be more features added later. Perhaps even a built-in english guide and chatroom for english players or something. But it's primary function at the moment is give people an alternative to navigating through the browser whenever they play. Here is a test version. It works (at least it worked for me), has a little logging in guide and whatnot, but other things will be added later... http://www.gotupload.com/v/4869686/D...ncher.zip.html I personally find it very useful for myself since I'm lazy. If no one else likes it, no skin off my back, I'll just use it and it's good VB practice. However, I would appreciate any CONSTRUCTIVE criticism.

You have to make an account for DnF normally, nothing changes as far as registration. The program just makes it easier to get to the site/login/launch the game.
You DO have to launch the game from the site, correct? Or is there a way to launch it from the DNF folder? Last edited by Dreakon; 08-02-2006 at 04:16 AM. |
