This thread was made assuming players would mess around ingame and learn the basics on their own, like we did. Everyone has to start somewhere, and the basics are really very simple after you mess around in the goblin map which is nearly impossible to die in I might add. We had no hint to anything at all until we started this thread, yet we were still level 20+ before we made it.

Do you not start a console RPG until you've read the whole walkthrough? Its only logical to mess around in games before you go looking for answers. Its a korean MMORPG, and also one of the easiest I've ever played to pick up and just start playing. Starting quests are amazingly simple by trial and error alone, take the first few and its a 99% chance you'll finish them without even trying. Stuff like repairing weapons is figured out by clicking the buttons in the shop windows, which any curious person would do. There isn't a button in DnF that instantly blows up your account and deletes your characters.

Theres really no reason to go and insult our thread we worked on ourselves to help people, which you say sorry for/say you aren't insulting it yet you keep doing it over and over. You're not just insulting me, you're insulting everyone who has had part in making this thread what it is and you're the biggest example of taking it for granted which is why we're done developing this and the wiki, and generally done with DnF.

oh and PS: new players LOVE job changing, believe it! Even if you don't like it, this thread will go on to help many people interested in DnF and I am very proud of all the work we've all done together. I hope some people with solid interest and passion of the game might take over one day, because I know the pointless tech questions will keep it on top.

I think you made it clear that a forum is simply NOT wanted. As much as I could put into it is wasted if people aren't interested. And besides... we have a thread! That's just as good right?

K guyz im having a problem here and i need sum fixers!!
ok first how do i play this damned game i cant even get it to a title screen wen i click gamestart at the website it doesnt work becuz it gives me the weird useragfeement bs then wen i run it by my files on the comp it gives me a "Runtime error " wen the screen goes blaack ='[ plz help..anyone..

Because everything is so different before the Hangame switch. I can't help you. I started playing before the switch to Hangame.

hm that weird i watched the creating an account and logging in tuturial and she does the exact same thing i do but wen she clicks the bottun it owrks and for me it doesnt does this mean ip?

Er, guides. Registration guides, character creation guides, various translated images throughout the game to translate any confusing parts of the UI and of course helping with any quests, items, skills and whatnot I stumble across while playing and understand well enough. Hopefully the community would contribute as well. And of course, it's a forum... so it'd have just casual discussion about the game and whatever else too.

Unlike this thread, I was going for a more working together, community environment rather then sticking 5 people that know what they're doing in a never ending help thread. Unfortunately, most of the time meant telling the new player their question was already answered or starting to help someone, then quickly moving onto the next person, leaving the original question asker with a vague or half answer.

But all hope isn't lost, I think I might still push the idea for a forum, but for the JP version (when it comes back) rather than the korean one. The korean one may be more updated, but its a ***** to register for... especially since Hangame took over and the JP version actually had a lot less lag for me (plus window mode!!).

This is assuming of course Arad comes back sometime soon, I got an irritatingly busy couple of months coming up and I won't have nearly as much free time as I have had recently.



I know this doesn't sound right, but I really do like the idea of a help thread... I just don't like what some of you did with it. Rather then helping people (give or take a guide or two), you've turned it into more of a DnF elitest hangout that is simply "tolerant" of new players with questions.

Note: I said some people, others of you (Oni, some guy I can't remember very well, etc) I think were very friendly and helpful throughout most of this.

dreakon is that the problem?? its ip? cuz i registered and now i found a new "*****" haha what should i use sockscap or sumthing/??

I have no idea what the problem is. I'm getting it too with my Hangame account and I know several other people that are too. I basically gave up... I'm just waiting for the JP version (called Arad) now.

The registration is a lot easier, probably a lot more legal (for most of us) and hey, it actually works.
