Default Good Roleplaying

I am looking for a text based? Roleplaying game with a good mature community without godmoders. I used to Rp on RWK and Shimlar but those RP communities are going down the drain. Doesnt need amazing graphics, ro even any at all, but thats all just an added bonus. Anyway, if someone has a game like this and has played it, please give a brief synopsis of the game for me. Any information is helpful.

There's one that I'm currently visiting now and again. It's called Nation States. It's basically roleplaying with your own nation with chances of becoming a certain type, meaning you could become a liberator or a simple caring nation. It has no graphics and only remains text based. It has it's own forum for roleplayers who like to make their own nations more lively.

The roleplayers there are very mature and understanding. There's a considerable amount of roleplayers on there and it's fun.

The link is:

Sign up, have fun and join the forums. Enjoy!

If you include forum RPGs in the 'text based' genre you can always check out www.rpgforumsonline.com which has a ton of different user created freeform games.

Or, if you like a little more structure, you can download Open RPG (www.openrpg.com) which is program that allows you to connect with other roleplayers on various servers for different games (including pen and paper RPG's like D&D, but it has other stuff as well). It also has a nice set of tools and things that make RPGing easy.

If you want something with some graphics, I recommend Illarion. It has a 2D interface that you walk around in, but it's based more on roleplaying and not hack and slash. For some things you can also roleplay on their forum as well. The site for that one is www.illarion.org.

The first two of these have mature communities (although you will find some games are not, but you can simply choose to avoid those). And Illarion is all mature.

I hope this helps you!

EDIT: Oh, and www.cantr.net is one that a lot of people enjoy. It's a bit different and has a pretty steep learning curve, but there is room for lots of good roleplay.
