I don't want to debate weather or not this is classified as a hack or not, I just wanted to share, because the potential of this is almost endless...

Its so you can change the text of your start button, you can make it all kinds of obscene things...it does require a program download, and some editing of system files...so, I imagine you COULD screw it up...if you didn't follow the guide.


I would post you guys a screenie of mine, but I deleted PAINT (I have a Mac, and I ripped out EVERY non-essential windows component ;D)

Ohh, I tried this once. It works. But the process you have to go through to change it isn't really worth bothering with, and I was unable to hide icons on the taskbar after.

Worth a try if you're bored though, I never liked it being called the Start menu anyway.

And... TaleWillPrevail! YOU'RE BACK! *Jumps on* Even if I am a "dunce" for once trying it.

Well, any name other than 'Start' beats the hell outta Start itself, but the risk your computer goes through? For a second thought- Nah.

It's a Saturday and I have 2 more days to ponder whether or not saying I was an Arryan to that girl was right.

I should've stuck with Caucasian. A lot more universal, and it doesn't make me sound like a Nazi.

Well, first it's not 'your' hack. It's a very old hack.

But for those that used the default windows theme, it can be useful.
Course I use a skin that doesn't have any text down there to begin with.
