Kevin did the right thing. This code does not make it easier to pirate it. For those that are skilled, it was already possible for them to rip the disks. And it is these people that spread the pirated versions out. THE ONLY thing this changes is that now the average consumer doesn't have to buy one for the DVD player, one for the iPod, and one for his PSP, which is ****ing bullshit to have to buy the same movie three times to simply watch it on a different player. And if you actually knew anything, you'd even know the stance of most of the artists and other people that actually create this work. The majority are highly against the actions of the RIAA and the MPPA. They ARE NOT the ones that are complaining. It is the huge company that make the millions off of their work. Like I said before, the recourding industry and the movie production industry takes well over 90% of the profits, and this is being super generous to the artists. A real world percentage would be something like the big company takes 99% of the profits, and then that 1% is split up against the rest of the people. Hell, these people don't even own the rights to their own creations! Unless you were lucky and started before all this bullshit of corporate take-over, chances are that the creator does not own any rights to the music or movie that he or she made. Those rights belongs to the big man with the suit and tie. You want to complain about the creator not getting money, lets take a look at getting taking the money from the companies that already make enough as is, and giving it to those it belongs to. The artists of this world. But this has shit to do with piracy. NO ONE WANTS TO DOWNLOAD AN HD-DVD MOVIE OR BLUE-RAY MOVIE! We're talking about a 15GB download here! We do not have the internet speed nor standard capacity for that to be downloaded a lot. You may get like 50 people or so, but thats it! Everyone is going to go to the DVD version because that is still great quality and is many times smaller. All this does is help the average consumer by giving him/her the rights that s/he deserves with what they purchase. Oh, and it's quite possibly one of the best things to happen for this to make big news, which it already has. For years we have been screwed over, and things are starting to change. The people are fed up with the bullshit and are fighting back.
