As you may gather from the title I'm writing a petition. It is on the subject of physical education in my school. You see we have P.E. for one semester only. My plan is to get as many people as possible from my school district sign the petition and maybe write letters to the principal and school board. So I need some peoples help in the proper why to undergo this process.

So far I am writing a letter that will be sent along with the petition to the principal and school board. And I am beginning to get signatures on my petition. Is there anything else I should do or any rules I should fallow while doing this? Any and all help will be greatly appreciated.

What are you trying to do? Increase the number of times you have to take PE? Isn't that your choice if you want to take it or not?

Let me get into more detail. In our school district P.E. is a required class. But the class only lasts for half of the school year. I am trying to have it last the whole year or in a more economical way. So basically all I'm asking of you is if you have any tips on writing letters and petitions.

Here, P.E. is state mandated, there is nothing you can do in NY about being forced to go...I'm not sure where you live, or what your trying to do. I figured I would pass that on.
