Default Ranting forum - Opinions?

I believe everybody deserves to blow off some steam every now and then. And the ideas of a garbage bin/flaming forum have been shot down several times (which I agree with) so I believe that a highly-moderated forum where people can relieve anger and speak whatever is on their mind at that point. Strict rules should be layed down, though. No use of names should be permitted, and the forum should IN NO WAY be a place to flame other members.

I don't know, I just think a forum just a little more spacific than just "General" should be added. General is just flooded with things that don't interest me nowadays, and a lot of things that I fully disagree with. So I believe this forum will do nothing but better the community.

Opinions?

Thanks 2

why everybody calls it a "rant" forum?
it should be called "spam" section. with no post counts of course, and no random flaming allow too...just a section for random off topic stuff that doesnt belong in general...

I've noticed.

As a rough estimate...I'd say about 8/10 forums have some sort of spam section.

We used to have a flame wars section which you could use to spam and such but i think Gabe wasn't to fond of it.

no not a flame section, a spam section as in where all the half assed threads go to, coz that section will be no post counts. like move stupid begging threads or w/e to that section etc. etc.

This actually has been a section I have been fighting for. Something where it doesn't quite fit into general, and people shouldn't get post count for it.

I guess we'll see what happens.

yepper I have been w/ Sandy... actually most of the staff have. Hay Sandy right now would be the best time to actually bring it up. Any ways we would most likely have to do a debate forum and as Sandy said no post count.
