well, you are missing an option:

Yes, the dub sucks. Yes, his American catch phrase is no where in the origanal Japanese version. ("Believe it" was taked in to replace the lip sync for Dattebayo, witch doesn't mean anything at all.)

However, there is hope, Naruto Shipuden is out. The characters are much older and wiser too. The dub will not reach that point anytime soon (considering it took them so long to dub it in the first place), but I would love to see the looks on kids faces when they see it and say, "WTF?!" at how their beloved characters are no longer the same age as them.

note: I don't watch Naruto. Mainstream American TV has made it seem too imature for me; that and I don't like my raving mad anime benges that I have every now and then just to catch up to the Japanese version.

Because I'm not locked into the mentality that OMG ENGLISH DUBS SUCK! Or, OMG NARUTO SUCKS BLEACH OWNS LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL

LAWL?! Yes i must admit it, the dub sucks tough tities. I was gonna write letter to 'Toasted Tv' (The regular cartoon program with cartoons in my country) to STFU with the naruto and take it down. I swear it was giving naruto such a bad reputation...
