I'll bet his mother hordes it away like a vulture and is just selling his *** out for the cash. Nobody would wait this long to actually do something about bullying that bad unless they were REALLY stupid.

No one is denying that this boy had injustices done to him, but what makes him any different than any other kid that has been bullied? We've all been bullied to a degree. I can't really put this in a personal scope because I've never attended a Public School. Needless to say, I'm sure there are people out there sucking it up and dealing with it like the majority of the world. Yes, bullying is wrong and should be stopped, but do I think he deserves a million dollars? No. The guy can't help looking the way he is to a degree. I do think he could probablly do more to flatter himself, but that's beside the point.

Yah, this sucks. So what? What makes him any different than the people who were bullied to a degree that they went out and shot people? There has to be a nice middle here. Either you shoot someone, or get big bucks from the government? Let's be real here people. He's a wuss. Granted, again I'm NOT saying it's right to be bullied or to be a bully. But come on! We all deal with this shit, so I really don't feel a huge amount of sympathy for this kid.

This is absolute crap. They say that they tried home schooling, but it failed. Yet it doesn't mention why. Yes, he was bullied (probably cuz his mom dressed him in a jumper), but it doesn't change the fact that he's just a fat lazy bastard who doesn't like schoolwork and wants to play video games all day. So, here's the real question; should he be paid for that? Absolutely not!

For the record, I suffer from depression. I was a social outcast in school. I've had my faced bloodied against brick walls (and fights in Shop Class are no picnic either). You deal with it and keep moving forward. If someone's paying this kid for not having the will to face life, it should be his failure of a mother.

Life sucks. Get a helmet, you lazy POS.

Its really unbelievable how they won financial compensation for this....I mean unless he suffers from mental retardation it is possible to learn out of the public school system and re develop social skills to a certain extent.

And yet another incompetent parent uses the judicial system to feed off the working class stupid school should have shielded themselves better.
