Skill points are restricted to individual skill books. You really can't go wrong, since you can master every skill in every book. Just raise the skill that you find the most useful.

For scout to learn Res you have to have no weapons equipped to use the first aid stance. Let your other guys kill everything while the scout heals. Eventually your stance level goes up. When you get to the required stance level you will learn the skill. You can use the skill points to boost the skill to level 10 to master it. Mouse over the stance to see at what level you get the skills. Click the sword to go to the stance window to see all the stances you can learn and more details for the skills.

It works the same for everyone basically. Just use the stance to get kills and it levels. If a stance is grayed out that means you need to go to the skill trainer and buy a stance book for it. The prerequisites for the stance are shown in a tool tip.

if you bothered to read and do the tutorial you would know that you can get new stances in the master rooms in various towns.

and as for res for your scout you need the first aid stance (which is your set stance in the beginning) and you will also need the ressucitation bottle? can't remember what it was called but you need one to use ressurrection.

for your musketeer the only aoe's that have a wide radius are the pistol stances.
the first 2 are at lvl 24 and the double pistol stance is at lvl 36

Get Grace, change it for ur musk and get shotgun and ull AoE every single bullet altough its weaker. just go Rifle/Shotgun, u dont need to go single stance..

Pistol Stance sucks for Grace so if u want dual pistols go with ur muskeeter.
