Large swathes of the chinese population cant even afford the stuff that chinese industry churns out in the millions on a daily basis. The rich areas like the business districts and such mostly look like western cities, really affluent and pleasant. The rest though is an amalgamation of really ancient buildings, hastily constructed worker housing and slums. China now is going through a similar phase as britain experienced around about 1870-1910 when industrialisation really started to pick up. |

Most of my China classmates are really rich ... One of them whom I despise, somehow managed to apply sucessfully for a place in a Australian university despite failing like 1/3 of his subjects in our current course ... damn ... not to be bias or anything, money talks =_=

yeah i agree, they gona not revolt. plus i heard about this tienamen square massacre awhile back in the 80's wow it's so crazy. i mean they killed literally thousands of thousands of peoples regardless of kids, students, women. crazy shit
