I'll go ahead and run updates and give everything a test run tomorrow after class. I've got myself back to 90% capacity, all I need is the latest version, and to dig out my 360 controller & USB adapter. I have morning PT/exercise in 3 hours and class in 6 hours so I should probably try to get some sleep, regardless of how little it is.

With any luck I'll be on tomorrow to run the first battery of speed tests and see how playable the netspeeds are.

Worst case scenario, neosteam open beta starts tomorrow.

You goblin padded your account. Basically means you're pretty much screwed if you don't know your account info and the ability to communicate to a Japanese GM. But since you goblin padded early, I suppose you're lucky so just create another account and start over.

I also get that same error... any ideas as to what it means? Do I need to use that VPN garbage? If so, I have vista 64 bit and I don't think I can get that softether stuff to work on it because of digitally signed drivers not existing for 64 bit Vista.

I didn't need to use the VPN client thing when signing up at all, nor did I need it to patch... Sooooo... whats the dealio?

Yes, if you get that message and you're from the US you NEED VPN!
The IP block has changed such that you can log on to the website and patch just fine without VPN, but unless you have vpn on when you start the game, you will NOT be able to connect.

Also, holy shit, OuterRem is back.

Okay now that I got a VPN, when i try to create a character, the name input box comes up, but i can't type any letters or numbers...what gives?
