Gold farmers have been known to **** up economies (FFXI as proof!) as well as unbalance the gameplay for those of us who do not want to buy gold.

And just because you believe they have the right doesnt mean they do, look at Fabians post...

Wow, racism. Great reason to encourage illegal and annoying behavior. The fact is, players don't have rights in online worlds. If you come over to my house and I offer you a beer, it doesn't mean you get to take the case home with you when you leave.

Everything in an online world belongs to the creators of the online world. They allow farming because they appreciate the players, but the moment those players abuse the developers game and start damaging gameplay, they have every right to take away any and all privelages.

Does that mean i have to alert my friend who plays WoW to stop gold farming? He just got into Burning Crusade a while ago and made so much gold from what i saw on it when he sent me the screenie. He told me its not really ruining the game, its every man for himself to get as much gold as u can. I kinda felt bad for him at that point, he should have about 65 mill. on his account as we speak.

People don't get it, its the combination of the Gold Farming and selling it for out of game Currency. People can farm as much as they want because that just is staying in the same place and repetativly killing monsters. The reason this company is getting sued is because they ARE farming to sell, and for no other reason.

yeah, in ffxi the whole market crashed. prices changed alot.

How could blizzard stop it? Players play the game earn gold and sell them. Its more of a personal scale.

Blizzard will ifnd it hard to stop individual sellers, so they asked ebay to stop gold selling on their website. Then, Blizzard will aim for companies which actually sell the gold. Companies are easy target for Blizzard.
