Default GW

Guild Wars goes in the category as MMO why.. it is loads of people playing it.. I was jumping in to Lineage 2 expected more players but no..

WoW isnt good at all ive been playing it non stop getting bored reading a guide for just reaching 60.. Sooo many players yeah right, keep ganking low levels and annoying teens.

Guild Wars is unique better conpect less grinding more fun..
The game is about you thinking out builds for surviving, farming..
I expect more from GW2 running around on a huge map, level cap.. (hope they keep the WASD keys.) I hope the graphics is good.

WoW = still skills that is chosen how ure set ure talent build make its less unique u need a leet gear to survive instances and stuff.. Plus even the new expansion coming up its gonna make it even worse lvl 80 char at the beginning..?

to get rid of confusion:

Guild Wars is NOT an MMORPG. It's a CORPG

Isn't Guildwars 2 going to be an mmorpg? I heard they were going to have persistent worlds or something.

The developers disclosed that having persistence wasn't as difficult to implement as they thought. So there will be portions that will be persistent, but they will still keep places that will be instanced.

Best of both worlds.

Way they tell it, GW1 was an "experiment that succeeded," in that the subscription-free business model worked, that instances can work, etc. So GW2 will have all of what worked in GW1 (hopefully still no potions!!!) plus will also have what works in other MMOs.

agh. i've repeated my own post a few posts down

It would be sooo cool if they had persistent worlds where the running quests were. Even though they won't. It would be so easy!

It means worlds like regular mmo's where you're actually in a world with someone else, at the same time, without being in the same party. In the previous Guildwars games, they had individual, restricted servers where you could only see someone else if you were in a party with them, and left a town.

Guildwars 2 is supposedly going to be like a regular mmo.

-prays that GW2 won't have tutorials that take up half the game- D:

Hopefully they don't make it too much different from GW, or else it won't be GW anymore.

And at the comment about no level cap, that would be extremely unfair for people that don't like to grind. You'd see level 1000's ripping level 550's apart....not fun. Hopefully they don't make the level cap too high....maybe 60 at the highest. Hopefully they add more professions like Alchemist (a debuffer/party support profession) Ninja (kind of like a jack-of-all-trades profession), Psychic (kind of like an Elementalist, except their spells are based on mental power rather than manipulating the elements), etc. I personally don't play GW often, but I hope EotN will be good, it migfht encourage me to play it more often.
