I played it during the trial/beta, and I couldn't really think of it as anything more than a downgrade from WoW.
I only leveled up about twice, and I was just insanely bored with the game, no matter how much I tried to enjoy it. If you're REALLY looking desperately for something to play until Warhammer, I'd recommend FFXI, as much as I hate to say it. The community in the game is strong, the people are great, and there's plenty to do. It might feel a bit dated, but if you can get into it, it's a really rewarding and fun experience. |

Besides, they are both pretty standard mmorpgs. That is, neither of them are revolutionary. One is just very popular and older. |

On the other hand, I've played every MMORPG out there, being an old RO addict, and the ones that have always stood out the most to me were FFXI, because of the control scheme (PS2 controller to play the game), and WoW, because of the overall fast pace, along with the controls. |

![]() My friends and I just got WoW like one month or so ago, and they're already planning on buying LOTRO when Its coming out. Singaporean magazines say its not bad, but then again I never trust my local magazines, they suck.
