1.6 is indeed better, for a multitude of reasons. For one, the community is infinitely better. You don't see as many dickbait 11-year-olds in 1.6, and awping is openly outcasted. Plus, there are just no fun maps in source. End of discussion.

Lol in source AWPers usually get ganged because they are ghey. The server I play on has lots of cool people.

AWPing requires no skill at all, just one general requirement of the game: The ability to aim. A shot from anywhere, to anywhere in the body is almost always a guaranteed OHKO. I hate idiots who think they're pro by getting a cheap shot with an AWP. AWP does not "own", it only makes you dominant by providing a OHKO from wherever the hell you go.

Now, Scout requires some skill. First of all, it's not OHKO. Second, it demands headshots from the gunman, which requires serious aiming skills, what "sniping" really is. If you shoot someone in the foot with an AWP, you get an OHKO.

No, just no.

Headshot is 100% OHKO as far as I'm concerned.

If they live when you shoot them in the head, you didn't shoot them in the head. Or they hack.

Legs and arms with AWP = ~86 damage.

In source, AWPing is pretty much encouraged.

But, I rarely play source, so oh well. I get my Steam fix with Garry's Mod.
