Cause they have a satellite and they spy us to know everything about us... conclusion Browser games are made by aliens.
Now seriously... I don't know how can "they" know but if it was me... I would make a simple program to control the acces to accounts by ip and comparing the times of login and logout... for example if you logout from an account and then login in the same comp with another account within 5 minutes (for example) I could suspect that you have double accounts. Then I could store the information... if the same process is repeated some times this is with no doubt a sign that you use double accounts... But well this could make problems in cybercafes... But hey! that's only an "idea" maybe they don't have anything like that

I guess if you see 2 seperate accounts online from the same IP at the same time someone COULD be playing both accounts or it could be a friend who popped over to check their account... I would say do an Email verification check when you create an account, so if they dont respond to the email or its already in use they cant make another account, if they create another email address i guess they can then make another account but even so you can never know 100% if someone has 2 accounts really unless you monitor them for ages and even then you have to make certain assumptions... |

some of them use email activation system. That is when you register you receive a link on your email, after clicking that link your accout will be activated. If you want to make another account you will have to enter another email address.
Another way is checking your ip address, but the problem is that ip usually changes so it doesnt always work. Or it is possible to download a cookie to your computer with no time limit, so if you want to register another account on your computer you wont can do this. The problem of this method is that you can register from another computer. |

However you can put all the above precautions into make it a large hassle for people to have multiple accounts, that way 75% of people give up after the first hurdle of having to get a new email address then if it has other checking you only have the small % left who can be bothered to change/remove all the files it checks for... |
