I don't get how to make stuff in this game. For instance why does it take so long to get herbs etc. and how can you actually make a piece of armour and what benifits(lvling etc.) are there.
Of anyone can give me a nice clear guide to creating items I would be sooooooooooo greatfull, coz I can't find one anywhere! |

Mining (Herbs, Stones, Energy) just takes a while, live with it. Or use a Tool Aid: applying one to your tool and using it on the resource will immediately give you a predetermined number of items and destroy the tool. This doesn't work with "random" mining (you should use random mining if you don't use a tool aid; rumor has it that mining for a specific resource is bugged).
As for crafting: there are no benefits, plain and simple. You get the same items that you buy from NPCs or find during leveling. You don't get experience for crafting. However, higher level items are not available at NPCs, so you have to make them yourself, buy them from other players, or find them off monsters. Whether you want to waste skillpoints for the crafting skills is up to you.

Thanks that helps a lot. The problem with this game is that the NPCs really aren't very helpful. What would also be great is if you could tell me how to turn herbs, stones and energy into useful items. Thanks

You can either take them to a certain npc(cant remember the name) that will create the items for you at a certain rate. Or if you want to make them yourself and have learned the skills for a good success rate, buy manuals i think from merchant geres.
But generally, as Kargor mentioned, it is a high level thing. Drop rates for equipment seem to decrease as you get really high level so if you can't find it and no one is selling it, you'll need to make it yourself. As for skill points, eventually you will max everyhting out (well, if you like the game enough to do so) there are players that have reached that point. And as for gathering resources, tool aids are very useful in that they are fast and people sell them for 10k which isn't that much especially at higher levels. You can, however still gather semi effectively. I maxed out the basic mining skill, doesn't take too much(you can sp farm at sasquatch level, like lvl 10 or so). For mining: if you are around mine at the Ore Vein(rates are higher, but it disappears after a few minutes so you'll need to start it up again). if you are afk, use the Ore Mine (rates are really low, so you won't get much but it's good if you aren't around for hours). When I mine, I find that using selective increases my chances of getting something. With using the Ore Vein, I can get around 3-5 of the middle quality stones before it disappears. These are just personal estimates but: if you don't max out the skill, it feels like you get a medium quality stone 1/300 times. If you max out the basic skill it hovers more around 1/100 times.

Hey thanks for all the info. it helps alot. I only just downloaded this game,so I'm a total noob at the moment. I spent ages getting energy and turned it into a chipped dark crystal(I think that's what it's called), but what do I do now. This game is so frustrating, but so adictive. Thanks!

As a new player, crafting isn't what you should be doing, IMHO. Go out and kill stuff; mine stones and herbs for your pet.
Energy isn't needed; I always kept my pet unsummoned when I wasn't killing stuff (and I AFK-mined a lot, much more than actually playing in the end), and the pet didn't go much below 100% and restored quickly. Besides, I never found out what "below 100%" actually changes; the pets are useless anyway.

pets r NOT useless , at the begining ull think that the pets r stupid (the horse lol) and useless like this guy said but if u rais it till lets say lvl 31 u can make it a mount or keep it a pet if ull make it a mount ull get a nice buffer if u have a horse or a dd mostly aoe :P the dragon if u keep it a pet u can good bonuses at ur deff , attack , mag deff , mp , hp so why r u saying mr Kargor that pets r useless anyway ? |

The stat bonuses looked pretty low, and I never noticed a difference between having the pet summoned or not. It's just a minor passive buff, nothing more.
It's annoying to babysit it; it's not even smart enough to fly away. It's annoying to feed it; a completely useless feature that adds nothing to the game. I didn't get it to lvl 31, though, so whether things change at higher levels I don't know. I had hoped it would gain something when it turned to Drake, but was still the same useless sprite floating behind me annoying me whereever I went.

since u were talking about the minor deff buf lets talk about it ...
1st of all think that ur pet dragon (think u have that since u said that its floating around) is an acc not an ordinary one but 1 that lvls 2nd yes at the begining ull not see a great diff in ur stats (ur case deff) it only gains like 10 deff per lvl note: u can only put 30 points in 1 stat (like deff , mag deff , att , mp , hp ) if u put 30 points in deff (meaning lvl 31 drake , that u never had ) ull get around 300 deff bonus , still a worthless floating thing ? since i saw in ur char listing that u have a mage 300 deff its kinda good what do u think ? (since they have such a low deff ... ) if u had a horse instead of a drake and at lvl 31 u would have turned it into a mount the deff bonus would have been even bigger + u would have a nice attack bonus allso (whit the same amount of tech points ) and yes theres no change , the buff strenth does not increase if ur pet is lvl 16 or more , it just gets a new skin , thats it , wonder why ? , think u would have been bored or even anoyed if u had the same pet(whit the same skin) from lvl 1 to lvl 99 lets say ![]() in the end i have 2 agree whit u in 1 thing , the dam pet is just stupid lol , allways falling behind or not picking the things that r on the floor/ground (but dont be anoyed if it dosent pick the item if ur using a buff at that moment lol i dosent work , dont ask why , maybe a bug or something but i dk why it dosent work , just dont use a buff and press the pick up item at the same time ) etc. |
