Heres what I've been playing past few weeks:
Bulfleet: Reloaded http://u3.bulfleet.com/main.php Space Browser Based MMO Gal-Com http://gal-com.net/ Star-Wars Themed Browser Based MMO Tribal Wars http://www.tribalwars.net/ Strategy Browser Based MMO Injustice http://injustice.net.nz/main.asp Browser Based MMO Hitmen http://www.hitmenrpg.com/main.php Browser Based MMO SWMud http://www.swmud.org/ Star-Wars Text Based MUD So, with that said, I'm looking for more Browser games. None of the "next-gen" games interest me for more then 10 hours, so I'm expanding my realm of interest. If anyone mentions Runescape you may as well just slap yourself in the face for me. I dont want to play it, I have no intention of playing it, I dont want to see it mentioned other then in this paragraph. DO NOT suggest ANY 2-D scrolling games! I don't care how fun they are to you, DONT SUGGEST THEM! Or anything thats anime'ish, or cartoon'ish. They are the most annoying games I have ever seen, and they line up there right along Runescape. I absolutely cant stand them. The type of game I am looking for is more of a fast paced game. Something I can play periodically throughout the day, while at work, or home. I would like to get a lot of fairly good addicting games to play. From the 15 or 20 or so other games, those listed are the ones that I enjoy the most. Dont suggest: Gothador http://www.gothador.com/index.php Fallen Sword http://server2.fallensword.com/? Nowhere Else and Beyond http://www.nowhere-else.org/rpg/ Pardus http://www.pardus.at I play them already, but they kinda suck, or I just lost interest in them. With the exception of Nowhere Else, the others are too graphical and take too long for the pages to load, navigate maps and get anything accomplished. I'm on a Cable connection, I can be impatient waiting for images to load. As I remember more games, Ill put them here so you dont suggest them to me again. Mostly these are games that I have played, but didnt enjoy for very long. I would like to find a game that has some depth or a detailed story. Games that have a good tutorial for very in-depth games and dont just plop you in the middle of the fray (although fun at times). Updates are common, bugs are less common. I enjoy space sims, hacking sims, a few strategy games if they are unique, very rarely do I like any type of Mafia sims (Hitmen was a past favorite of mine back in the day and I just found it again). Any game thats "Rise to be the best best best, divide and conquer, kill everyone, play for 10 minutes and be killed in 9, everyone hates you as a newb, seconds after joining your cannon fodder, communities are unfriendly as can be, you can do this this and this AFTER you play for two years", type games Im not interested in. So, anyone have any recommendations? Yes I'm picky. Yes I'll play any game you throw at me that looks like it can keep me occupied for more then 3 hours. I also like text based MUDs. I didnt talk a lot about them, but I've started to enjoy some of them. All the same requirements apply for them as well as the browser based games. I have played a few MUDS past few days, but I cant for the life of me think of what they are. Ill edit later on if it hits me. So send me what you got... You might have heard of Travian. If you heard of tribal wars, you've heard of it. You probably think Travian is boring, but the 3x one goes VERY fast. speed.travian.com
The next one is Kingdom of Loathing. It's a unique stick figure game where a ton of people play. You level up, fight bosses and stuff, then you can restart with more skills. www.kingdomofloathing.com The one im playing now which is quite fun is OfficeDebo. You basically have the usual professions. Fishing, Smithing, Mining, Pickpocketing, Battling, and Farming and you just level them up and you get rich in the game, but the community there is very nice, very laid back members and quite fun. www.officedebo.com Oh yeah, and if you want to play online risk, try conquerclub. Many players like to play RT (Real-Time), meaning they keep playing by the minute until the game is over or until someone has to go, but even if people do not play RT, they have 24 hours to make a turn, until it goes to the next person (unless it's freestyle where everyone makes the turn at practically the same time). Anyway, to catch on to the interface it is not hard at all, i got it in within like a game or two. www.conquerclub.com Hope that helps, chrono |
