For some reason every few minutes of so, my nice 10,000 RPM hard drive seems to be loosing one gigabyte. I'm pretty confused and concerned right now, nothing like this has ever happened before. I really want to stop my hard drive from killing itself before I have to wipe it, and it's no fun to rebuild up a hard drive. Has anyone had a similar problem?
If it helps, it's a NVIDIA STRIPE 279.47G

You didn't give us the Hard drive name, type, or anything like that.
You gave the name of your north bridge chipset, and that your hard drives are in a RAID. Because it's in a RAID it could be because of bad RAID software. I've heard that the Nvidia RAID is crap. If it's the hard drive itself, then all you can do is prolong the time till it's death, but it will be coming very soon and you should already start looking for new drives.
