as you probly already know there is an irc chat! join it!

Need help with IRC?
Step 1 - Download and install an IRC client of your choice.
If you haven't gotten an IRC client already it's time to get one! mIRC is the most common client, you can download it from their official site here: http://www.mirc.com/get.html Chatzilla is a plugin Mozilla/Firefox which lets you run IRC without opening a separate program, you can find it here: http://chatzilla.hacksrus.com/ There are more clients but these two are the ones I recommend.
Step 2 - mIRC - Start and basic options
Start mIRC. When the window has appeared fill in whatever you want under 'Full Name'. This will be seen by other users so nothing too personal. You don't need to write your own email in the Email field. You can just write something random.
In the nickname field you put in whatever name you want to chat with, please keep in mind that common names often are in use. Under Alternative you can fill in an alternate nick which will be used if your first one is in use.
Press OK.
Step 2 - Chatzilla - Start and basic options
Start Chatzilla
Press Chatzilla in the upper left corner and select 'Preferences'.
When a window has appeared click on 'Global Settings'. Then look for 'Nickname' and write your desired nickname in the field.
Please keep in mind that common nicknames might be in use.
Step 3 - Connect to the network
To get to our channel you should connect to QuakeNet.
Write /server irc.quakenet.org in the empty field in the bottom.
If everything progresses smoothly you'll soon be connected. If a window called Channels pop up, close it.
To get into our channel write /join #onrpg
Chat on!
Common commands:
/nick randomfangirl - Changes nickname to randomfangirl
/join #channel - Makes you join #channel.
/part - Leaves the channel you're in, you can return to the same channel after you've left the channel.
/whois randomfangril - Shows you some info about randomfangirl in the status window. You can change randomfangirl to some other nickname in use.
/whowas randomfangirl - Works kind of like /whois, but can be run after randomfangirl left the server.
/ignore randomfangirl - Ignores randomfangirl, you won't see any messages from randomfangirl, handy when someone is bothersome.
/msg randomfangirl Hiya! - Sends "Hiya" privately to randomfangirl.
