For a very long time my modem has kept restarting itself. Now its every 2-3minutes that it restarts itself. This is becoming a problem for me and i don't know what to do about it. It could be the modem or it could be the ISP. I think its the modem thats the problem. Anyone know if i can fix this somehow? The modem is a D-Link DCM 202.

-I know its not my computer since i must of reformated it a million time already.
-Nothing to do with the cable between my computer and the modem.
-Nothing to do with the router since i tried to connect it directly and i still get the same problem.
-Also nothing to do with the cable wire since i tried another one in the house and still have the same problem.

Any solutions? I looked on google already but no solutions.

Didn't you made a thread like this a while back?

Did that thread give you the answer?Also it might be some type of a virus.Just scan your computer to be sure.

But then again I'm still a noob at thing like this.So don't take my word for it :P

ooo yeah i did make another one. And its not a virus since i reformated my computer many times.

*edit* i cant find it =/

OMGOMGOMG I GOT A GOOD SOLUTION FOR THIS
I had it too and all i did was buy a new house and then buy new computer with new internet and it was fixed! try it

You sure it's the ROUTER?
My connection to the internet dies once in a while and we got a new one but had the same problem. The cause is now said to be the old cable we are connected through.. :x
