It's hard to get into basil at this time,
and there is NO best maple story class.
They all have their advantage and disadvantages.

every class has a good side and a bad side
and it depends on what you like and dislike.

Your not really an idiot lol. Every speculates about the best class but no one actually know. From what ive seen on basil and Sleepywood everyone thinks hermits and crossbowman as you said seem to be the best. I really dont believe it, and I believe in balanced classes for the most part

Essentially every class has it's pro's and cons.

Snipers/Hunters may be powerful but lack jump shots, which hermits have. Just an example.

Or...Page's have elemental attacks whils't Fighters don't, but fighters have combo finishers, which DKs don't, but DK's have incredible range and some great mob skills and vice versa.
