I just got my xbox 360 today along with call of duty 3 and gears of war. I put call of duty 3 in and put the xbox on its side (standing up) and the game stopped working, i put the xbox back to the normal position (laying down) and the game still wont read.. i looked at it and i dont see any scratches... does anyone know what might of happened or how to fix it?

Send it back and get another one.

Wasn't there a thread on this about it being deflected? (sp)

Or if your really evil , go to one of your friend house and switch your bad xbox with his working one.

i dont think its the xbox because gears of war still works, call of duty 3 just isnt able to read for some reason... and i dont know why i mean i dont see any scratches on it...

I'm not sure if they will accept replacement for that.Where did you buy the disk?

If there are no scratch or anything and it not working,maybe someone tamper with it before try to cover it up.

Soo just return it and get another one.

i bought it online so i dont think i can return it (no not ebay.. its a brand new disk and it was working before i tipped over my xbox on the side with it inside and on)

Well that was silly, and you still should be able to return it even if it was online. Usually by sending it back, and they send a replacement.

Just bring it to walmart, tell them you got it for your birthday and the shit is broke, ask if you can exchange it. Whats the worst they can say, "no"?
