Now seriously... I don't know how can "they" know but if it was me... I would make a simple program to control the acces to accounts by ip and comparing the times of login and logout... for example if you logout from an account and then login in the same comp with another account within 5 minutes (for example) I could suspect that you have double accounts. Then I could store the information... if the same process is repeated some times this is with no doubt a sign that you use double accounts... But well this could make problems in cybercafes...
But hey! that's only an "idea" maybe they don't have anything like that
