I was wondering if this game will ever become free. I'm to cheap to pay, and me and my freinds realy want to play. I've been loking for a *evilthingnottobesaidonthisboard* or an emulator, that's nor free apparently. So s their a chance of f2p.

Forget it, that game's way over the criterias for a free-to-play MMO

As I always said, if you can't afford a game, maybe you don't belong to it ...

There aren't much chances it would go buy-to-play, so free to play.. It's almost impossible.

Unless the game completely switches companies, (ala FE:Z, but it's not happening) then chances of FFXI going Free to Play is zero to none. If you ever do decied to play, you definantly get alot for your money, considering the amount of content the game plus all three expansion packs have.

There's no way you could make an emulator for this game as you have to login from the the play online viewer. Which makes it impossible to emulate.

their no reason for this game to go f2p. their getting new expansions aswell. asking if this game would ever go f2p is just dumb. just pay for the game.

I'd send you one but I gave it to friend and he never gave it back even tho he said he'd never use it.
W/e, you can't possibly appreciate the game after only 30 days
I've just started to really get into it and have been a member for like 3 months ...
It's really awesome tho, I just unlocked Samurai and Corsair jobs

took like 8 hours ...
