Or you could make it a tad bit easier and just include
Code:
using namespace std;
so you just can include the cout as originally.

Add http://www.directxtutorial.com/ for DirectX.

It's pretty darn good.

I'm having a hard time finding a good DirectDraw tutorial though...

Anybody happen to know any tutorials specifically for Java using the HSA Console?

Hmmm I would suggest just programming in Java instead of doing the HSA console stuff. From what I have heard its more trouble to actually use HSA then Java itself.

I actually am familiar with both. Took two Java courses in school, with two different teachers; one used HSA, the other didn't. I honestly preferred the HSA console. It's just been a few years and I really don't remember it at all any more.

I'm just about ready to give up though, and just go with standard Java. I can't seem to find anything online, and I don't feel like spending the rather hefty cost for the HSA manual.

Good =).
HSA is kinda like java for 5 year olds, it's a higher level language of Java so that there is less thinking. What are you trying to make btw?
