the reason the gothic series is dead is because of the fact that 1 and 2 don't work on newer versions of direct X.

are you sure they work on my pc and it has direct X 9.

well i've heard from alot of people they don't work on DX 9 or above.

Now I see your point. As with Thief 3 all the Thief fans shit their pants when they heard Ion Storm was going to develop it. In fact they're still bitching and whining how much it sucks. Google "TTLG" and you'll see what I mean.

I felt Gothic 3 was alright and not as bad as the people whined about it. But it was honestly TOO open-ended you literally felt lost. Games need to send you on a direction but Gothic 3 seemed to just toss you around like a ping pong ball.
