To be serious to this topic considering people are just wandering around, Don't think you'll really find a good 'mimic' runescape. Okay, people are going to suggest like Nowhere Else and Beyond, or Syrnia (time-based game.. it's not that fun after like 3 days of playing).
I think you should find another genre, because even though people say Runescape literally sucks, it's one of the best browser games out there. Can't get much better than that mate.
