Murxidon how did you know those five files were the malicious ones? I couldn't make heads or tails out of the scan results, is there some way to tell what is legitimate and what is not?

HijackThis aims to detect and delete all references and files associated with malicious software. Remove it all, and you remove the virus.
I'm really tempted to download it and run a scan just to see if my computer is clean. But it won't do me much good if I don't know what the scan results mean. Does HijackThis flag the suspect files or identify them in some way?

Anything in particular I should look out for?

Sorry for all the questions.

To make reading it easier there are a few online log analyzers that will read your hijackthis logs and mark out the bad guys. Or you can just google every process and see if it is malware.
