I suggest going pure magic. Swordman skills could easily be a waste.
Super novs can become such fast casters, when having the right built:

99 DEX.
Owl's eye lvl 10.
Impr. Concentration lvl 10.
Blessing lvl 10.
1 Rocker card.
4 Drops cards.
2 Zerom cards.

Now I hope I didn't forget anything... Not too sure.
But with those stats and buffs, you should reach a decent 148 DEX (and 150 DEX is instant cast so that's pretty damn close).
Just a suggestion.

Yeah. After getting your buff skills, get coldbolt or firebolt (or lightning bolt) but NOT BOTH!
If you're playing on a p.server and you have more job levels available then you may do so. But if you're playing on a server on which you can't reach a high job level max coldbolt OR firebolt OR lightning bolt, you can't max them all then any way.
If you have any idea about what monsters you'll be leveling on, look their weakness up and get that certain skill to level easily.
For example; if you want to level on Seals, max lightning bolt.
