I wasn't denying the fact that racism existed back then. Just the fact that it ever existed. I mean who's to say we're any different because of the color of our skin or for the slight anomilies (bad spelling) in my bone structure.

I've never actually experienced racism towards my person...

My mother was visiting her mother in this really religious part of Norway a couple of years back. When I say religious in this context, it's the same as "ignorant", "biased" and "judgemental". She was walking along the street, and suddenly a couple of kid/teenagers started called her a gipsy(or the much ruder norwegian versions of it; "tater" and "sigøyner") and threw rocks after her. No-one bothered to correct them or step in.

A friend of mine is black(with a full african name), and when he was applying for jobs these last two years, he hardly even got an interview.
Whilst I, sent out 4 applications last month, got responses, and interview on two of them, and was offered the job for both. He finally got a job, due to being recommended by his white girlfriend, at 7eleven...

I also went to one of the schools in Norway with the highest acceptance grades, and there was a large majority of white people there.
However, still you see some pretty brilliant asians, pakistanis and black people there. In addition to this, there was a special "service and economical" line there, which because of it's lower acceptance grade, has more multi-cultural people in it. Several of them having entered the schools, because it had the rumour of having some of Oslo(my city)'s best looking girls in attendance. And of course, many just wanting to have a good school on their resume(spelling?).

Anyways, frequently, the white of the ordinary line would look down on the coloured people from the other line, and often be surprised at the fact that some of the coloured people attended the ordinary line...
I went to what was known as the "biggest ghetto class" in school because it had 4 coloured people in it, and of course everyone assumed they were real "gangstahs". They were frequently mistaken for pupils of the sales and economics line, and people would often ask them how they had ever managed to get into the school.

I was often mistaken for being a poser or being "gangstah" because I frequently hanged out with those of multi-cultured background, and was pretty much avoided by the whites because of this.

Yeah, so I really hate racism too... I take it personal. My brothers children are part african, and my girlfriend is vietnamese. I would take it personal, even if this weren't the case though.
