I've been reading a few threads and some have been praising Kaspersky 7.0 Anti-virus, so I've been wondering, which is the better software?

Agreed. I wouldn't trust anything else. To me if it's free then it's inferior. If I have to pay for it, then I'm probably getting my money's worth.

I don't have any complaints with NOD32 since I started using it about a week ago.

why?

kaspersky is just a resource hogger, same goes with NOD32, thou NOD32 actruly has a better scanner then kaspersky.

what you need is just 1 or 2 protections on your computer, other then that watch what you download...

Spybot - search & destroy (not a anti-virus, but a anti-spyware, but it's still good)

and/or AVG with firewall edition(up to you if you wish to use it, it's better then NOD now....).

I use NOD32. Smallest resources usage of any scanner, highly configurable, no. 1 at finding viruses not in the database(ie:new viruses that no one knows about) And in the top 5 of finding viruses in it's database.
