If you're clean just take the test. Prove them wrong. Us athletes have to get drug tested all the time at any given time. I know it's different because it may give us an advantage during an event or meet, but its the same deal they are just trying to make their school safer just like they are trying to make the sport more fair.

It's crazy enough drugs aren't legal yet, but this is going too far when they're randomly drug testing children in school. Kids have rights to privacy, too! I swear, schools are getting worse and worse with child privacy.
If your parents would let you, Oisterboy, you should transfer to a school that isn't so wacko. |

The most dangerous part about using drugs is the dealing and actual usage of the drugs. Before, the teacher could ask a student to see what he had in his pockets, etc...which I can understand. I can understand suspension and such for possession. Thats one thing. And, I understand testing the sports team...because, when signing up for a team, you understand thats whats up. But, I'm just an at home user.
My mother knows...she told me I'd better lay low, or be prepared to switch schools. I have friends in the school I might be transferring to, and their grading policy is much better. I may actually switch schools. If enough kids did, they would lose massive amounts of money from the state, which may make a dent in their egos...I dunno. I was looking for some advice for a mass protest, I just don't know how to go about it. Thank you, dear Xenonight2. Its hard to converse about this with people who are undereducated on the positives of drug use. |

Good luck finding a new school! Is this a public school you're going to right now? Augh, I have my problems with the U.S. education system. No Child Left Behind is just damn stupid. |

I saw that it didn't look right after I typed it, but couldn't think of how to reword it.
What I meant was, its hard for people who only know what health class taught them about drugs. I agree lots of drugs are bad. I am only an advocate of the ones that can be picked out of the ground and used (without any extractions and stuff). I know LOTS of drugs are bad, but thats not where I wanted this thread to go :P Erowid -- more information than you could ever stomache (google it if your EVER curious about drugs of any kind)

So basically you are saying only SOME illegal drugs are good.
They are illegal for a reason. And I still don't get violation of privacy. If your doing drugs, illegal drugs at that, the police need to know so they can bust people using ILLEGAL, illegal being the key word, drugs. I don't know why you are saying this is a violation of privacy, since you are trying to keep private things that are illegal. I'm very confused at the message you are trying to present.

sounds pretty stupid, not as bad as what we had here, i live in a small town in quebec known as Nicolet, known for having a huge amounts of marijane growing evry were(lots of farm, its hidden in corn fields and such). Almost evry one at my school smoked it, so to get rid of the problem, they had dogs walk betwen the lockers so sniff out anything, and could ask at any moment for whole classes to go and take the test, not accepting the test would get you kicked out, being caught would give you a one week suspention + 3 day in school suspention.
I dont consume anything at all either be drugs or alcool so ive never had any problems, but ive seen tons of people getting suspended or kicked out. marijane should honestly be legalised, sure, it aint that good for your health, but its effects on health arent nearly as bad as alcool, would stop goverment to waste tons of money trying to find the drugs, they could taxt them. evry thing would be fine. if you want to consume, consume, if you down, then dont. Were all slowly loosing the freedom we have by the day, no matter were you live, cant wait to see how pretty the situation will be in 10 years. |

Also this isn't a conviction. It's just an easier way for schools to know who's been smoking and if so they can take actions therefore no one can claim their being unfair. |

Just because I've committed crimes, doesn't mean that I can't advise others to avoid doing the same. Like I said, I have nothing against people who take drugs, however, if my ISP started checking for illegal software downloaders I'd probably stop. And then change ISP... So, hypothetically, I can see where you're coming from, however, there's little you can do, we're bound to get caught some time, maybe. |
