If you cut for fun, then you sir, are kick ***...

Anyways, Now, I'm going to post my anti-cutting message, which I post every time someone talks about cutting.

Cutting out of depression is meaningless and stupid, and I can prove it.

Most people who cut from depression do so to shift their focus from their mental sorrows to physical pain.
Many of them state that it is not for the purpose of taking suicide.

Now, if we take this statement and say it refers to most cutters(please correct me if you think otherwise):

Cutting induces pain. However, mental problems are prone not to disappear unless solved in a permanent way(inducing pain is most likely not one of them). In other words, once the pain physical pain is gone, the mental one is still there. Fail 1.
Now, because of this, cutters usually end up cutting more.
By causing pain to your body over a longer period of time, your pain-limit grows, meaning that the longer you cut, the more you will have to cut eventually, to get the same effect. Kind of like with drugs.
Now what happens to people who keep on increasing their drug habbits? They OD.
What happens to a person who cuts himself more and more? He is prone to accidently "suicide". Fail 2.

Now, summary:
Mental pain is not gone. To add to that you now suffer from physical pain.
To add to that, you have just developed an obsession(an unhealthy one at that).
And to add to that, you greatly increase the chance of dying, even if that's the exactly opposite of what you want.

Total fail.

I know this sounds mean, but I've known cutters, I've talked to cutters, and this pretty much went for every single one of them....

Please for your own good, just stop it.

I don't cut myself because I'm so clumsy that I usually cut muhself on accident doing simple mundane tasks (Take out the trash, much?). Plus, I think cutting yourself is just stupid...when you bleed to death or a someone refuses to date you for it, then there's really no one to blame but yourself.

And yes, I give this talk to all of my friends. For some reason there's a trend going around the people I know that "Cutting makes the sadness go bai bai". I have a feeling that I'm making the people around me sad . Propably the cutting talk, doing it.
