There is an option on Wikipedia to report entries that are being messed with, and many people are very serious about keeping the information in their articles up-to-date and accurate.
It's a trustworthy source of information, you just have to be responsible enough to look for another source to verify that it's accurate, especially if you're going to be using it in an argument, because it can be and is vandalized, often- but, the majority of this is true for everything.
You guys should stop with all this "CONSPIRACY OH SHIT GOVERNMENT BRAINWASHING CHILDREN" stupidity, though.
Wikipedia doesn't work for the government, and no matter who edits the articles, be it some prepubescent ten-year-old, like Rodenty, or some super secret FBI spy that makes $20,000/hr, it's their, and the legitimate contributors' intent, to have the undiluted truth there for viewing.
