Rune Factory: A Fantasy Harvest Moon

Does anyone have this yet? It came out two days ago, and I'm thinking about getting it. It looks really neat, and I like the older Harvest Moon games, but the fantasy RPG twist looks interesting.

Opinions?

nope. It's for the DS. It came out on Tuesday (In the US at least) and it's a different kind of Harvest moon with a fantasy/RPG twist.

i have it on my DS and i have to say its pretty fun.

if you liked the Harvest Moon series then you should definately pick Rune Factory up.

Rune Factory has a small storyline (theres no time limit) and the new addition of fighting monsters and exploration.

sprites are replaced with monsters you have to befriend and mines are now replaced with caves full of monsters.

I bought it today. I'm absolutely in love. Finally a Harvest moon that can topple the giant that was Harvest Moon 64. I can't wait for the sequel!

i'm finding the combat to be actually very challenging. not because the monsters are hard, but because I run out of RP so damn fast.

yea you run out of RP really damn fast, but to restore it is pretty simple.
for every 9 crops (1 bag of seeds) that are fully grown (with produce), it'll generate some blue glowing ball which restores about 25 RP.
it'll keep on generating that blue ball every day as long as you don't harvest any of those 9 crops.
so just plant somethings in dungeons and you'll be fine.

also a small tip:
for all dungeons, just destroy all monster spawning things and the boss door will open.
even if you leave, the door remains open so you can rest and take on the boss without fighting anything on the way.

I play it on a NDS emulator. It runs smooth but I don't like the game much, Harvest Moon for the PSX was fun but I just can't play this game for more than 15 minutes, it's so boring. I'm waiting for some new interesting RPGs for DS which I can run.
